'FOR MY HUSBAND' ~ a little piece inspired by my parents

Lets hold hands. Lets pretend that day is night and that birds can talk. While we're at it lets stroke the frogs and ask the moon not to tell anyone we're here by ourselves. Mother doesnt have to know, father doesnt have to know. Ah the joys of young love. Young love on his part though for there is nothing young about the sag of my 59year old breasts and the lines of laughter that have framed my eyes.

I say young on his part but he is only young at heart. Nothing about his 60year old frame is young but when i look at him I am transported back 45years when we first met. The world was new and fresh and ours. Those were the days when we didn't have to pretend that day was night and the moon didnt tell a soul we were out by ourselves. Mother didnt know, Father didnt know.

I grasp his hand and lean in to kiss him. It is saturated with years of love and understanding. It is unlike the kisses we shared ages ago, ones that left us breathless, led to broken glasses and the police knocking on our door to ask us why there was so much noise. This kiss however says 'you've always been the one'. He looks back and i know he understands, we've never needed words. Mother always knew Father always knew.~

ALL HAIL LORD REH DOGG 'Why must I cry'

So unless you have been living under a rock you must have heard Reh Dogg's 'why must I cry '. With over 4 Million views I first saw the video 4 years ago at uni and my life was never the same. I managed to catch up with the Epicness that is Reh Dogg.....

What inspired Why must I cry? Do you crack up watching it and did you expect it to go as far as it did.

Real life situations inspired the song. I don't write fictional lyrics. Most of my lyrics relate to some aspect of my life. In the case with this song the lyrics pretty much explains the things that troubled me at that time of my life. A woman whom lied about children that were not mines and a young boy i mentored who stole and lied to me. I didn't do the song to make money it was a way of self expression. So yes I was surprised by the buzz. I don't crack up or laugh in fact I don't watch the video at all. There was no thinking about creating myself in the shower for laughs. I always had a weird, strange dark sense of humor. I'm able to poke fun at myself.

What do you do for fun?

My mother ask me that question all the time. I don't have fun. Until I make it to a level where I have my own business or don't have to struggle to pay bills I will be a work horse.

Being on youtube, do u find that you get more support or quite the opposite ?

Yeah I check my website stats and most of my sales are from iTunes. In my videos I put on youtube i give my itune links and 90 percent of my sales are from itunes.

I watch some of your other videos, where ur....um shall I say...ranting? And I'm confused, is that normal?lol

I'm not sure but it sounds like you're incinerating that something is wrong with my ranting. That's all I have to say on that.

Whats next for Rehdogg??

Building a business so I can work for myself.

EPIC FAIL OF THE WEEK

Hide your wife, hide your kids...... the Lacefront wig is snatching your people up! lolA

StyLe DiArIeS:Doreen

Doreen is a fashion blogger whose style I lurv... I caught uo with her just to get the scoop on what influences her style:
I adore most people in the fashion world and even people I see on the streets but I my fashion inspirations stem from my mood.
Although I love classic vintage and masculine inspired looks, I'm never able to put my style into any specific category because I tend to wear what I feel. So I would say that my style is pretty much eclectic, ranging from girly and feminine looks to classic vintage and tailored looks.
Since I'm a college student, my life basically revolves around school and so i'm not able to look as crazy as i want for lectures lol. In my perfect world, I would be playing "dress up" and wearing heels everyday but since this is the real world, I have to tone it down for lectures.
One of the things love and tend to wear the most are blazers just because it transforms every outfit and gives it a very bossy and expensive look.

An Afternoon Rant!!!

Its a few days to Christmas yaay! And its my older brother's birthday today. Smile all around :) I still feel as though the Christmas Grinch stole a bit of my Christmas cheer and I'll be damned if I don't get that back sooner or later. Either way I'm still so grateful for everything that has happened to me this year. As cliche as it sounds, wrapping up a year really does make you think about everything that has happened. I wouldn't trade any of it, the summer drama, break ups and make ups...that's what growing up is all about. Happy Holidays everyone!

EPIC FAIL OF THE WEEK

STUFF i LIKE: TONYA ' SHARMAINE369's TIPS!

Sooooo, I virtually live on youtube... well why not? Its a well of information and since I've been on my weight loss journey, my hair journey and even my make up journey its been sooo sooo sooo helpful. One of the ladies I love to watch is Sharmaine369 and I managed to corner her for one of my interviews. I love her hair! :)

1.Would you consider yourself a youtube guru?

Do I consider myself a youtube guru? Not yet, but I will be! I just started making videos and giving advice almost a year ago, I think it requires a lot of knowledge to be considered a guru and I'm still learning as I go. I believe in the near future though I will be considered one, but in the mean time I'm just taking this experience as it comes :)

2. What have you enjoyed most about being on a hair journey?

Since being on my hair journey I've enjoyed seeing the progress my hair has made, before my hair journey my hair was not very healthy so just seeing how far my hair has come is something I really enjoy. Besides seeing my progress, I've really enjoyed helping other young women on their hair journeys and just giving them advice on their hair. When I was younger I wish I had someone to tell me how to take care of my thick hair, but I never had that guidance so if I can help some young girl or woman I'm happy!

3. Can black women really grow long healthy hair?

Yes! Black women can grow long beautiful healthy hair, black hair requires a lot of attention and once a person begins to learn what her hair needs she will then start to see a huge change in her hair. Believe it or not, our hair communicates with us all the time. Our hair lets us know whether it needs moisture, protein, or just some simple TLC. We have to in a sense listen to our hair and spoil it, in the end we will have long healthy hair.

4. What's the best advice you would give to anyone struggling with hair growth?

The best advice I would give to someone regarding hair growth would be to reevaluate their hair regimen. When hair is healthy and getting all that it needs hair will grow. However, if there is nothing wrong with the hair regimen then I would suggest different growth aids like MSM, biotin, castor oil, sulfur, and other things related to stimulating growth.

5. Okay on to some beauty questions.. whats the one make up item you can't live without?

The one makeup item that I can't live without would be my Covergirl Trueblend Mineral Bronzer in golden sunrise, it's such a gorgeous bronzer and at times when I don't feel like putting on foundation I just use my ELF studio powder brush to apply it. The bronzer gives such a pretty glow, I absolutely love it!

6. Whats the biggest fashion and make up mistakes you see us women do these days?

The biggest fashion mistake that I see women make these days would be booty shorts, even though it's starting to get cold in the summer time the booty shorts come out. I'm a college student and on my campus during the spring time some women feel the need to wear really short shorts to the point that you can see the start of their butt cheeks and it's horrid! As far as makeup goes I haven't seen too many makeup mishaps, but I'm not a huge fan heavy cakey foundation.

7. Are you currently single, shacked up or looking for love?

I'm single! :)

8. And finally, what advice would u give to young women who want to be more confident?

For young woman who want to be more confident the number one advice I could give is to not care about what others think about you and start believing that your happiness matters. When I was in my preteens I had low self esteem, but as I grew older I realized that this is who I am and if I don't love myself then how can others love me. Every women needs to realize that she is beautiful, strong, and worthy of the best things that life has to offer!
